To All Forum Participants:
Since I couldn't make it to the Asia New Media Forum 2008, I'll be glad to get hold of whatever materials (via Internet) related to the Forum plus personal comments, remarks, opinions, feedback by the participants for my own consumption.

Thanks!

Dear friends

As our website is going to be focused on the Asia New Media Forum, could you please update your profiles with your real names? Maybe if you would like to introduce a bit about the topic you will present would be great as well!

Much appreciated

Cheers

Online learning would mean synchronizing our time. With all due respect, I was expecting the host-creator of this forum to start the ball rolling. What do you reckon, amana? Hi, there!

PROSPECT, PRACTICE, BENEFIT

Through the Asia New Media Forum: "Next Generation News," as I freely interact with other new fellow media practitioners from Asia, I can avail of the rare opportunity coupled with the liberal enriching exposure which virtually transcends geographical barriers, imbibe their expertise in emerging technologies, learn innovative methodologies as well as best practices in the field of journalism for the emerging media in the realm of technology, business sustainability, and editorial planning.

I can personally apply the best features of Web 2.0 along with the cited goals I wish to explore and achieve in parallel with my journalistic work along the lines of engendering peace journalism (via interactive multimedia approach: broadcasting, print and online media) and social networking as a human rights advocate. The forum has the potential to enhance my vision and creativity on the viability of the fusion of print and online media.

As I share and re-echo to my fellow local media practitioners in Sulu, what new journalistic methodologies including emerging trends I have learned in SEACEM's forum, this will impact on the users and readers-audience in my community. Moreover, we can significantly empower not only local media but citizen journalists as well.

***This is the 200-word essay I wrote you when I sought sponsorship for the forum. =D
